We are a bigger club than Stoke but still outside the top six and seven. The reality is that Stoke will probably finish - if they sign more players - in and around 15 to 8, about where West Ham will finish. This is why Stoke say it's sideways and there is some truth in it.

The only reason Arnautovic has joined is because we have offered him a five year deal on 100k a week. Just like the reason he joined Stoke is because they offered him a long term deal with weekly wages only people could dream of.

Demographics have for a long time favoured west ham. No other club is undisputed in the four corners of London and the population growth of east London Essex and Kent are only accelerating. I read somewhere that by 2030 the population of this particular region will be over 8 million people. Just need an owner that understands that potential. Fuck Newcastle. We've always been and remain the real sleeping giant.

It's pointless arguing the toss...we've always been number four in London..and it doesn't bother one iota.
In fact been more than happy with it..we were what we were.
Northerners have always underestimated us though in terms of our support base and as a whole I think.
Oh' it's only West ham' mentality....but we can take 9,000 to Blackburn!..but again that's because we have big shadows in the capital..who they view as far bigger than us.
Very few clubs in our class can do that.

It's worse than that. We didn't really 'win' the InterToto Cup.
Unless you count being one of three survivors in a competition with no semi-final, final or league placing as 'winning'.

I find it very childish going on about your club's size. Clubs are what they and everything is relative. As far as Stoke City go they are mid table PL same as us. So it is more credit to them than it is to West Ham being oh so big as we are supposed to be.
We have always had a potentially massive fanbase, but have won only the Intertoto cup in the last 37 years. All this boasting about size makes us look like your deluded tottenham fans as I said earlier.

Being a London Club does give us an advantage when in competition with northern clubs.. ( except the obvious exceptions)
The downside is being overshadowed by three big London rivals.

2/ We are West Ham London in LONDON - Johnny foreigner loves a bit of that

Peter Coats all be it a wanker used to run provincial racing and then the internet betting started in the early days he rebranded it to bet 365.
Call it luck or being ar the right place at the right time has made him millions and enabled him to take Stoke to a level which would normally be beyond a club that size.
In the 80's he was a director and it was a disastrous period for them. Then the icelandics came in and it wasn't much better for them.
Their stadium was funded by the council on the cheap which I think they owned 49% then when they got in the prem they brought the council shares.
I think they're filling in that empty corner now to make it 30k but they still won't fill it for a mid table clash.
Their fans think they have a Devine right to be where they are like they also thought they were big fish in a small pond in the late 80's in div 3.
Yeh they are I suppose a good old fathioned club, but good old fationedvdoesnt cut it in the modern game and they'll get caught out one season soon and do a Wigan or a Bolton and just disappear down the devisions never to return

PAYET got royally cunted and not just by West Ham supporters.the way he fucked us off was despicable.
Let's have it right he was pretty much unheard of before me came to us.
I don't recall anyone on here slagging Marseille off.
Stoke fans can fuck off they arn't and never will be in our class.
We have signed thier best player because we can pay him loads more dosh and he wants to play in the best city in the world for a team that's on the up.
